Job Description

The Quant. Analytics Associate position will be part of CCB Data & Analytics Team, reporting to one of our Executive Directors / Vice Presidents of Small Business Decision Sciences aligned to Product and Business Services. Small Business Decision Sciences provides analytics, business intelligence, and modeling support to drive our Small Business acquisition, sales, marketing, and retention strategies. This role is a combination of consulting (problem solving and client interaction) as well as leading the development and implementation of analytics throughout our Small Business Lines of Business. The successful candidate will be analytically/technically strong, will have great communications skills, and have a collaborative working style to break down complex problems and deliver structured analysis leading to key business decisions. Primary Responsibilities:

    • Interact with senior leaders within CCB organization to drive, track, and develop business strategy
  • Collaborate across functions and LOBs to drive Analytics and Insights
  • Design and deliver KPIs, trend analysis, dashboards, and analyses including segmentations, optimizations and other techniques to improve business function performance
  • Support key Stakeholders and strengthen partnership with strong understanding of underlying data and ability to translate data to business knowledge
  • Analyzing data to explore improvement opportunities, assessing strengths through confidence of data inputs, identifying data defects, recognizing statistical anomalies and linking data to business processes
  • Analyzing datasets, building data workflows, writing queries to obtain data required for visualization to construct conclusions and strategies
    • Comfortable communicating complex analytical results and leading analytics projects to deliver decision support tools and dashboards for business stakeholders
    • Deliver tactical and strategic marketing, sales, finance, and business insights
    • Partner with a variety of internal and external clients to solve quantitative problems related to optimizing business processes and performance
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative or related field
  • 2+ years advanced analytics experience in large data environment or Masters with 5+ years advanced analytics experience preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, ability to explain complicated concepts, algorithms, and data structures through business insights with an ability to influence both internal & external business partners
  • Hands-on experience in delivering analytics and insights to multiple levels of management
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of a client s business and actively seeks input to anticipate client needs and effectively meets or exceeds them
  • Tangible experience with business strategy and tactical implementation
  • Proficiency in data analysis languages such as Tableau and Alteryx. Python, SAS and R is good to have
  • Experience in Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Apache Spark etc.
  • Strong analytics, interpretive and problem solving skills
  • Technical understanding of data extraction, transformation, and load processing is good to have
  • Experience with dynamic and interactive reporting applications
  • Consulting orientation ability to influence both internal & external business partners
  • Strong written and oral presentation / communication skills the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior business leaders
Exposure to forecasting, financial modeling, and planning functions is a plus,
