For more information, please visit www.thermofisher.com.Responsibilities:Asst manager Logistics position exists for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities of an assigned work team on a shift basis by directing assigned associates in the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of customer product in a manner consistent with service and cost objectives.

  • Maintain control and ensure regulations to all import and export processes and monitor work according to corporate and local policies and evaluate all new custom requirements and supervise everyday operations according to standard procedures.
  • Ensure 3PL complies with agreement signed and they are aligned to our global policies.
  • Work closely with the 3rd Party Logistics Provider to resolve day to day issues that may occur.
  • Ensure compliance of GST norms from Customs Bonded Warehouse and Non-Bonded Transactions
  • Facilitate improvements in 3PL performance (Process, 5s, Gemba & Tier Board)
  • Conduct monthly review meeting with 3pl team and provide feed backs on their performance about operations, customer (Internal/External) complaints, exbond clearances and any other challenges faced in previous month.
  • Review BBNS on daily basis and address team wherever support is required.
  • Ensure shipments are moved out as per system defined Package/Storage conditions according to India guidelines. Review exceptional customer list is updated from time to tome
  • Monitor GIT report on weekly basis and follow up with shipping sites to clear long pending lines.
  • Resolve day to day operation issues pertaining inbound (Pending GRN), out bound & work with IT team to resolve ERP issues.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation.
  • Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Monitoring and Ordering Packing material supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  • Validate vendor bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Overseeing all supply chain operations.
  • Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.
  • Reviewing, preparing, and routing of direct vehicles
  • Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
  • Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues.
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors and freight forwarders.
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
