Job Description

    Role -Automation Test EngineerWe are looking for a skilledAutomation Test Engineerwith expertise inAPI testingand hands-on experience withREST Assured. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating and executing tests for APIs, ensuring the functionality, reliability, and performance of backend services, and ensuring overall software quality through automated test cases.Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute automated test scripts usingREST Assuredto test RESTful APIs.
    • Work closely with development teams to understand project requirements and create test scenarios.
    • Automate functional, integration, regression, and load testing for APIs and web services.
    • Perform API endpoint testing, including validating request/response, HTTP status codes, and error handling.
    • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to ensure test coverage and reliability.
    • Perform continuous testing for new API features, track defects, and report status updates to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with developers to ensure proper code quality and testability of services.
    • Review and analyze logs, and reports, and identify performance bottlenecks.
    • Participate in regular code reviews and improve test automation practices.
    • Integrate automation testing into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • 4-9 yearsof experience inAutomation Testing, with a focus onAPI testing.
    • Hands-on experience usingREST Assuredfor automating API tests.
    • Strong knowledge ofRESTful API principlesand HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE).
    • Proficient inJava, as REST Assured is primarily Java-based.
    • Experience withTestNGorJUnitfor test execution and reporting.
    • Familiarity with API tools likePostmanfor manual testing of APIs.
    • Understanding ofJSON,XML, and other data formats commonly used in APIs.
    • Experience with version control systems, such asGit.
    • Ability to write clear and effective test reports and logs.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to testing.
    • Experience withCI/CD pipelinesand tools such asJenkinsis a plus.
    • Knowledge ofAgilemethodologies and working in an Agile team environment.
    Education & Experience:
    • Bachelors degree inComputer Science,Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in automation testing, particularly for APIs.
