This is an opening for a technical specialist in Audio/Visual technologies. You are an expert in AV technology and have experience in designing, supporting and driving innovation in AV. Expertise and experience in planning and building efficient, large scale AV solutions will be instrumental in ensuring a solid platform for future growth and success of our business.Skills and Expertise:Responsible for the analysis, evaluation of existing services/technologies as well as the recommendation of additions, improvements, and changes in AV servicesStrong interest in emerging technologies. Ability to understand new technology concepts, conduct proof of concepts, designing and implementing pilot programsExperience with designing & managing large scale AV deployments. Manage multiple projects simultaneously within the budgeted cost & schedule and ensure that the quality of the delivered systems are maintainedUnderstand the key Stages in a project life cycle and their interdependencies in order to efficiently schedule workDesign skills and deployment experience with AV technologies such as room control, room automation, video conferencing, audio processors and digital signageLiaison with other internal departments, clients and contractors ensuring that they know what is needed from them and what we need to deliver to themLiaison with AV vendors during trouble determination, evaluation, and resolution and processes all repair orders accurately and quickly to ensure technician response. Escalates issues and tracks service requests and repairs through resolutionHas strong analytical skills and ability to carry our root cause analysis and manage mitigation actionsPrepares and presents cost initiatives through ROI and business case analysisMaintains configuration control records, and maintains equipment hardware and software inventoryControl and maintain the necessary project documentation in associated job filesHighly experienced in larger enterprise environments, with demonstrated experience in customer facilitation and collaborationSuperior presentation and communication skills (written and oral)Experience with design & deployment of software based video conferencing systems preferredExpert certifications a plusPerforms other duties as assigned/ requiredTravel to other VMware offices for project engagements as requiredList of Experience:Minimum of 5-6 years of experience with AV and preferably working with a global infrastructure/ engineering teamSolid understanding of supporting, managing, engineering AV systemsHave a high level of computer literacy including Microsoft Project, Excel and Word. Office 365 experienceExperience with networked AV technologiesSolid troubleshooting, communications skills and customer focused essentialIndependence and ownership: work with a minimum of direct supervision or guidance from othersBe highly organised, flexible and able to approach different types of tasks during the working dayBe able to understand and communicate project budgets and schedulesMethodical, structured and self-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skillsThe ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essentialHave a valid passportMinimum Education Qualification Requirements:Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Minimum Experience Required:5-6 years related experience in AV and information technology solutions design and service management.,
