Job Description

    Ability to automate utilizing PowerShell, Perl, VB ScriptsAct as subject matter expert (SME) and highest contact point of technical problem escalation within the Server Solutions Team for Veritas Netbackup OperationsAct as subject matter expert (SME) and contact point of technical problem escalation within the Server Solutions Team for Windows based serversProvide advanced technical assistance. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Linux Server and UPS problems and monitor system performance.Assist on Server Project execution and planning. Assist on system design and planning.Performs troubleshooting techniques on storage processes, applications, and hardware in a SOX compliant mannerWorks in conjunction with entire Platform Support team & Vendors to maintain system uptime on all enterprise wide platform devices to a world-class levelAble to liaise effectively with the network support, service desk, client support, database, architecture, and security groups work with OEMs & Third Party vendorsIdentifies multiple alternatives to resolves business needsLooks for improvement and growth opportunities in own areaMonitors production systems in order to identify or recognize production problemsAssist with Root cause analysis as neededMonitoring of all backup and restore activitiesRestarting of failed backups ,Handles incidents relating to backup failures and change tickets related to restore requestsPerform restores for NetBackup and Avamar (Windows, Unix, Exchange, SQL, VM)Escalation to additional NetBackup levels in the event the failure cannot be resolved Commvault, Arcserve and Veeam,
