Job Description SummaryJob Description Summary:The Basis Administrator is a member of the Application Development and Administrative Services Basis team, which is responsible for SAP Basis support of BD s SAP ERP platforms. The Basis Administrator will support BD s ERP implementation roadmap and migration efforts to consolidate BD s ERP systems onto SAP S/4 HANA. This position requires proven skills and experience supporting SAP Basis responsibilities related to: tOperations, Upgrades, business Implementations, Archiving, Retention and Decommissioning of SAP landscapes, which include S/4, HANA, ECC6.0 and other read-only legacy SAP versions. tProven skills and experience on SAP Hana Basis, SAP cloud technologies, running SAP in the cloud and working with Managed Service Providers to sustain BD s SAP global platforms operating 24/7. Job Description

  • System lifecycle administration of the SAP platforms and landscapes. Information Lifecycle Management, Software release management, installation, version upgrade, Support packages and patches
  • Experience working with SAP Max Attention and SAP s Incident Management process in support of BD s SAP applications.
  • Work with the BD Application Operations team to support the Release and Transport SDLC processes as required.
  • Landscape and instance management. Problem determination and resolution.
  • Collaborate with functional and infrastructure teams to perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis on complex ERP system issues.
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level applications and cloud technology trends
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • A customer service orientation. Ability to build strong relationships with end users, peers, and service providers.
  • Solid understanding of SAP best practices, methodologies, processes, and control framework including but not limited to ITIL
  • Project management proficiency and the ability to formally document all technical delivery aspects is highly desirable.
  • Experience with system copy, refresh, cloning and related release cycle activities.
  • Database management, performance tuning, capacity management.
  • Proactive system performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Work closely with BD TGS Business Partners, regions, businesses and System Integrators to support SAP implementation projects.
  • Adhere to change control, quickly familiarize with process, procedures, and validation requirements and dependencies.
  • Actively participate in technical disaster recovery simulations.
  • Cloud consumption analysis expertise geared towards resource optimization
Qualifications
  • BS in Information Systems or equivalent
  • 7 years experience in SAP Basis and platform administration technology
  • Experience working in a US FDA CFR24 Part 11 compliant medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Team player with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience running and leading projects
  • Comprehensive experience in SAP Basis and SAP S/4 HANA and ECC6.0 enterprise platforms, S/4, BW/4, MDG, Solution Manager, GRC and others.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, offerings, structure, and support services.
  • Practical experience on security and authentication aspects including single sign-on based on NetWeaver SSO, FIORI, WebDispatcher, Azure AD and other technology foundation components.
  • Knowledge on Sap cloud platform, Commerce Cloud and its services is a plus.
  • Operating system administration experience, Unix, Linux and Windows.
  • HANA, Oracle and SQL Database Administration experience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Microsoft Office utilities.
