You can download our latest newsletter HERE About the roleThe Validation Engineer will be responsible for establishing product requirements as well as planning and executing validation activities for a variety of battery products.DescriptionJob purpose The Validation Engineer will be responsible for establishing product requirements as well as planning and executing validation activities for a variety of battery products. The Validation Engineer will act as an engineering leader to determine/ review product requirements , coordinate testing , analyze test results , provide technical judgment , and develop appropriate documentation. The position will require solid quantitative skills , communication skills , and experience in product development. All types of Lithium cell and battery testing inhouse and at external labs as per defined test scope and procedure , cell and module life cycle tests and make reports. Role / Job Description Tests storage batteries , using electric testing instruments: Sets test procedures on testing instruments according to battery test requirements. Evaluates new cells along Smart Battery team and derive testing procedures and plan for testing Life cycle testing for cells and battery modules Drive cycle testing for cell and battery based on drive cycle for OE s vehicles May assist in the selecting of test equipment and writing software for test systems. Develops and coordinates inspection and testing procedures for prototypes , components and products. Assists in designing and installing test systems , procedures , statistical techniques , testing mechanisms and equipment. Formulates test guidelines and procedures and may recommend revisions of specifications where necessary. Evaluates , recommends and maintains engineering related computer systems. May train others on functional area related topics. Will submit periodic reports on assigned topics to appropriate personnel. Demonstrated ability to operate test inspection equipment and problem solving skills. Skills and Qualifications Diploma / degree in an engineering discipline , Electrical / automobile domain 3+ Years of experience in product validation and testing Experience with requirements and data analysis in a product development environment Knowledge of battery technologies , especially lithium ion Experience at an automotive OEM or tier 1 automotive supplier Experience with product compliance testing (UN , UL , IEC , GBT , etc) Experience with certification tests at ARAI Advanced user of Excel (Visual Basic scripting abilities is a plus) Excellent oral and written communication skills Requirements - Others Must have exposure in Electrical Vehicle Flexible with urgent requirements,
