There is a large focus on innovation, inclusion, giving back to the community and sharing knowledge.Corporate and Funding Technology (CFT) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the firmwide businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Prime Brokerage, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets as well as Operations, HR and Corporate Services.Counterparty Data and Regulatory Technology, part of CFT, is responsible for firmwide infrastructure for managing counter party information, client and account onboarding and all regulatory adherences for the clients. CDRT has commenced on several strategic initiatives to better our technology and data management platform. These initiatives involve building state of the art solutions using industry standard architectural methodologies such as Business Process Management, Business Rules Management, Event Driven MOM, Service Oriented Architecture and Business Intelligence Reporting infrastructure. This position represents a unique opportunity to work with latest technologies as well as work with various ITand Business teams across the firm.This role is within the document management platform within CDRT. The document management platform manages the lifecycle, storage, data extraction and overrides management for various kinds of client documents and contracts. The candidate will work on latest front end and back end technology including data extraction using machine learning., Skills Required (Must have):The candidate must possess a strong technology background with advanced knowledge of Java and Java based technology stack. At least 3 years of hand-on Java EE and core Java experience with strong leadership qualities Experience with web service development, REST and Services Oriented Architecture Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Design patterns, Architecture and Application Integration Working knowledge of Databases including Design, SQL proficiency Strong experience with frameworks used for development and automated testing like spring, Junit, BDD etc. Experience with Unix/Linux Ability to coordinate with multiple groups, both internal and external to the firm, including offshore development and QA teams, internal infrastructure groups, vendors, and support teams. Strong development skills with ability to understand technical design and translate the same into workable solution. Familiarity with working in a large team. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work on the same to meet business requirements. A background that includes strong problem solving such as system integration, infrastructure debugging, or system administration.Good to have skills - Web UI JS Framework AngularJS, ExtJS Pega BPM tool or any other Business Process Management tool awareness/experience Distributed Caching NoSQL Marklogic Big Data technology experience - Hadoop, Apache Spark, Elastic Search Experience with data management through vendor feeds.Morgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
