The team member will partnerwith stakeholders to ensure participating customers realize intended benefits. Aneffective candidate will be a creative problem solver, committed to the team, and able towork around obstacles. The Billing Analyst will support customer inquiries andcontribute toward immediate resolution as well as assist with longer-term solutions. Thisteam member will have an opportunity to innovate through process improvement andparticipate in cross-functional team initiatives.Key job responsibilitiesBilling Analysts are responsible for the monthly discounting of assigned productsand customers utilizing query tools and Excel models to calculate the appropriatediscount, based upon the interpretation of the customer contract.Work with AWS customers and internal stakeholders to address billing anddiscounting issues and gather valuable feedback from the end customer to makeprocess improvements and corrections moving forward.Be part of a team that continuing looks to automate, invent and create new andbetter processes and increase customer satisfaction.Problem solve and collaborate with other teams on a daily basis as you gainvaluable exposure and experience to different departments and processesacross the AWS organization. Utilize this experience as you grow and expandyour career at AWS.Assist or drive projects to solve customer or data problems, enhance or create anew process or improve team documentationSupport recurring and ad hoc reporting for various internal/external stakeholders, 2+ years of relevant professional experienceAdvanced Excel including VLOOKUP and Pivot tablesVerbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability toeffectively communicate with both business and technical teamsBachelor s degree required, preferably in business, accounting, finance, analyticsor a related field Accounting, or Finance experience with accruals and receivablesSQL or other relational database experienceExperience with financial contracts and comfortable with contractual language.Ability to read and interpret a customer contract and transform into a discountingsolution.Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively across all functions and levels of theorganizationTrack record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivateand follow-through on projectsStrong quantitative, analytical and organizational skillsHighly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations
