Job Description

The opportunityEY.com has re-launched with a new editorial strategy and content management system. This is your chance to become part of the global team that s transforming the web presence for this respected professional services firm. This digital leader, a crucial member of the global content team, will manage a team of editors and CMS specialists in India who build, review, publish and maintain content for EY s global website, which serves as the engine for our network of country websites. Job Summary:

  • Lead a high-performing team, where members are working collaboratively to drive quality and consistency across a high volume of content
  • Manage team utilization, so that SLAs are met, processes are followed and work is distributed evenly
  • Mentor team members, making sure skills are growing and individuals can explain and evangelize for the global digital editorial strategy and design elements
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with both peers and leaders across the firm, by acting as a digital advisor, partnering to solve problems, and resolving conflict when needed
  • Identify and implement ways to upskill activities and processes both within the team and among other groups (i.e. setting up training for country teams)
Skills and attributes for success
  • Have exceptional people management skills
  • Have a masterful understanding of digital content and publishing best practices including hands-on experience in content management systems
  • Experience working in a complex, large-scale CMS with content in multiple languages
  • Are able to quickly and accurately identify ways to improve content, user experience and SEO
  • Can advocate for digital best practices and how to use different design elements to create effective, engaging user experiences
  • Know how and when to diplomatically say no when asked to deliver work that is outside of scope or SLAs or does not maintain brand standards
  • Are able to successfully and independently manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Can make content decisions that achieve the business objectives, without detailed direction
  • Exhibit strong influencing and conflict management skills
Ideal candidates will also have:
  • Excellent editing skills, with an understanding of how messages may be received globally
  • A proven track record of operationalizing a team that grew quickly and organically
To qualify for the role you must have
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience; English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications degrees preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in online editing, publishing and/or closely related fields
  • Experience working virtually, in a large global organization, across time zones and with different cross-functional teams
  • Occasional travel required
  • Must be open to working extended days as needed to meet deadlines
