Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

DigiCert is looking for a self-driven BI Analyst/Developer to join the BI team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis and BI and will be responsible for developing and supporting data analyses, visualizations and reporting. The BI developer will also double as a Data Analyst and will gain an in-depth understanding of business processes and KPIs to apply the concepts for creating BI Semantic layer, self-service dashboards, reports, and analyses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Design and develop visual presentation of data to facilitate easy understanding of key metrics
  • Design and develop BI semantic layers, dashboards, and reports using tools like MicroStrategy
  • Architect and administer Projects, Attributes, and Metrics in a BI solution like MicroStrategy
  • Work with stakeholders to scope out requirements, and then execute on them to deliver against data needs
  • Analyze source system data, profiling data using SQL and BI Tools
  • Support BI evangelism by assisting in training sessions and providing one on one support to end users.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, &/OR CERTIFICATION)

  • 3-5 years of strong hands on SQL coding experience for querying and data analysis.
  • 3-5 years experience building BI semantic layers, dashboards, and reports using tools like MicroStrategy
  • 2-5 years experience architecting and maintaining a BI solution like MicroStrategy
  • Strong understanding of BI semantic layers and experience maintaining them.
  • Sound understanding of Business Intelligence best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, data warehouse and reporting techniques
  • Experience with data modelling and data warehouse processes
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment to meet end user needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to communicate and work with end users
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong exposure to building ETL pipeline using ETL tools like Talend, Python, etc.
  • Experience with Agile processes
  • Experience building data analytics solutions using statistical analysis techniques for forecasting and predicting
