Job Description

    Job DescriptionResponsibilities
    • Is accountable for the Delivery of Train Driver Cabin & Passenger Car interiors engineering outputs, in compliance with the Engineering QCD commitments.
    • Deploys and applies on project Train Design development procedures.
    • Organizes and leads his work package reviews for the project he/she is in charge,
    • Manages Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan.
    • Contributes to the train/vehicle interior architecture considering weight, layout, acoustics, crash and structural constraints.
    • Organizes Design / Verification reviews with stakeholders from Car body structure, Industrialization, Electrical and Mechanical fittings teams.
    • Manages Technical Solution, Gaps & Flushness of product in accordance with relevant standards.
    • Conduct self and teams internal quality checks and ensure the accuracy and consistency of all deliverables.
    • Technically lead projects and interface with internal stake holders and customer leadership teams to realize project Q, C and D.
    • Articulate thought process well in individual meetings as well as larger team meetings, and in dealings with related stakeholders - internal customers and fellow team members.Should have ability to propose innovative solutions.
    Required Skills:
    • General rolling stock knowledge
    • Ability to perform volume allocation of Interior commodities and perform a weight assessment on assemblies, aggregates and installations.
    • As part of design, Ability to perform checks for Maintainability, Accessibility & Serviceability.
    • Ability to select suitable material based on REx. or simulation studies.
    • Ability to design the geometrical architecture of an equipment and to optimize installation issues., preferably on train/rolling stock
    • Ability to define Functional Dimensioning requirements with good use of GD&T.
    • Ability to define adjustment principles and clearance make-up.
    • Ability to perform stack-up analysis in coherence with manufacturing capabilities.
    • Ability to analyze manufacturing non-conformity and to validate a back-up solution.
    • Have understanding for product costs on a technical solution
    • Able to select & identify suitable fasteners based on the requirement of joint design.
    • Good knowledge of drawing rules and GDT&Tusing relevant EN, ISO standards.
