Company : My MNC Client is a manufacturing Industrial buffer elevators & other hydraulic products etc. Designation: Simulation Engineer/Engineering Analyst Reports to: Engineering Analyst Team Lead Qualification: First degree (2:1 or 1st class) in a Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or Engineering Mechanics. Experience: 2 years of experience of structural design and analysis preferred. Experience using various types of finite element methods such as linear, non-linear, static, modal and dynamic stress analysis at components and system level. Proficiency in finite element analysis, including nonlinear static and dynamic analysis. Job Location: Bangalore OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB : o Perform complex design analysis using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software. o Develop engineering designs with minimal supervision. o Maintain records of all activities and results in CAE project database. Job Responsibilities: o Perform conceptual design to support the activities leading to the creation of new product developments, improvements to existing products and changes in product applications. o Coordinate with Design Engineering team to create FEA models. o Analyze mechanisms for kinematics, dynamics and force analysis. o Ability to perform Linear and Non-Linear FE Analysis, Modal Analysis and Fatigue/Weld Fatigue Analysis. o Develop hand calculations and Finite Element models that accurately simulate loading conditions. o Analyze results to determine structural integrity, system loads and fatigue life. o Develop test plans for validation of structural models through lab and field testing. o Analyze, review and approve design of welded and/or cast structural system and components ensuring conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Advantageous o Familiarity with hydraulics & hydraulic mechanisms. o Familiarity with Crash Energy Management Systems, Energy Absorption solutions. Knowledges: Knowledge of technical fundamentals of structural engineering, FE analysis and material properties. FEA software Altair Hypermesh and OptiStruct, Radioss solver experience preferred. Knowledge on Adams, Dyna, Ansa and other softwares is advantageous. Knowledge of advanced FEA skills like transient, fatigue, and non-linear analysis Knowledge in technical writing for writing test plans and reports Organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently or in a team Working knowledge of MS Office programs, Access programming a plus.
