Job Description

    The Tech Chief Data Office (CDO) is committed to creating value through data exploitation and ensuring tech data is valid, reliable, traceable, timely, available, secure and consistent. Tech CDO is accountable for how tech data is collected, safeguarded, shared, controlled, retained and destroyed across 1,000+ Enterprise Tech applications.Join a committed team of Software Engineers and data analysts who are transforming JP Morgan Chase s enterprise tech data eco system and who are focused on implementing data risk policies and controls across data quality, destruction/retention, protection and use. We are looking for people who are self-starters, collaborators that can thrive in a matrixed environment.The Technology Portfolio Analytics team is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Full-stack Software Engineer and hands-on Java/UI SME to lead the design, development, and transformation of our tools and reports.ResponsibilitiesBe a technical and architectural leader.
    • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software/tooling solutions. Apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems.
    • Redesign user interfaces to adapt to new features and user requirements.
    • Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify and scope the opportunities.
    • Gather requirements, solve technical problems, propose complete solutions.
    • Help team identify improvements to make to our systems and processes. Deliver recommendations for improvements to the technology and architecture, and grow our platform.
    • Define and implement non-functional requirements.
    • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
    • Own technology delivery and have ability to influence business stakeholders in prioritizing the delivery roadmap
    • Help shape the continued build out of the Tech CDO platform which is focused on tech portfolio analytics and reactive/proactive/preventative data quality
    RequirementsThis role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
    • Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 4-6+ years of Application Development, System Design, or Architecture experience
    • Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate.
    • Angular 11 or above
    • UI Design and development
    • Good knowledge of multi-threading, memory management, performance tuning.
    • Experience designing fault tolerant, scalable applications
    • Good knowledge of Oracle 12c or above DB development
    • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
    • Strong Agile development experience, and proven experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Experience in automated testing and continuous integration
    • Familiar with automation frameworks like FitNesse, Cucumber etc
    • Source code control software
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Great interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with clients. Strong communication is a must as the position requires interfacing with various stakeholders, user groups and other technology teams across the globe.
    • Should be able to work individually or as part of a global team to achieve project goals
