Job Description

    • Review Loan documents and process transactions as per SLA
    • Perform activities such as review of underwriting documents, Deal closing and loan servicing activities
    • Interpret and understand legal documents pertaining to underwriting and perform due diligence to comply with the lending requirements
    • Review the complex approval packages and Underwriting documents to perform annual review of clients
    • Maintain and comply with applicable procedures, policies and contractual obligations as they pertain to the process
    • Identifying situations where escalation is warranted and the ability to take action quickly in a high-risk and complex subject matter environment
    • Overall responsibility for the quality control of the process. Analyze risks and proactively identify the root cause of issues
    • Process Financial Statements, Appraisal reports, Borrowing Base Certificate, Compliance Certificate, Mortgage documents, Credit Agreement and abstract critical data
    • Perform analysis of Financial Statements and complete spreading as per the guidelines
    • Be an SME and understand the upstream and downstream process
    • Manage the complex requests with minimum supervision and independently make the decisions related to the process
    • Initiate and take a lead in Continuous Improvement Projects
    • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and familiarity with RCA tools to improve quality parameters
    • Identifying process gaps/exceptions and recommending possible solutions
    • Manage the exceptions and one-off transactions and follow the escalation metrics
    • Develop and maintain written procedures and training materials as necessary
    • Responsible to manage workflow for the team and ensure all the requests are actioned upon as per the service level agreement
    • Prepare KPIs and publish/present the data on a regular basis to Managers/Senior Leaders
    • Handles complex documentation under little supervision
    • Handles escalated inquiries
    • Ownership of internal communication and status updates to all involved parties
    • Manage internal partner expectations
    • Conduct training for new Monitoring Analyst team members
    • Oversee daily production and inventory, using independent judgment to allocate FTE resources to meet SLAs
    • Provide ongoing coaching and assistance to Monitoring Analysts on a daily basis to improve individual and team productivity and quality results
    • Partner with Managers on new initiatives and system enhancements to include procedure updates, communications, and post implementation monitoring
    Eligibility requirements:
    • Bachelor s degree in Commerce/Accounting preferred
    • 5 - 8 years of work experience, preferably in Banking/Mortgage/Financial Analysis/Statement Spreading/Loan Operations
    • Ability to read and interpret complex legal agreements to identify a variety of covenants
    • Knowledge of financial documents including financial statements, accounts receivable and inventory reports, etc. with ability to identify inadequacies and irregularities
    • High level of accounting knowledge to interpret/analyze the impact of different accounting policies and statement formats on financial covenant calculations
    • Candidate should be open to work in shifts
    • Strong verbal & written communication to effectively communicate with various stake-holders and across levels
    • Demonstrate creative problem solving and solid judgment/decision making
    • Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups and client
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in team environment
    • Excellent comprehension and observation skills
    • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrate the attributes of flexibility and accountability
    • Exhibit client relationship and time management skills
    • High level of proficiency in organizing, priority setting, and issue management
    • A strong MS Office, Excel skills and knowledge in MS PowerPoint is a must
