Job Description

    Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Finance & Business Management India is one of the first group to be set up in India in Global Finance and has since grown its presence across Mumbai & Bengaluru into a 800+ people organization. The group is accountable for diverse functional teams and has a significant footprint of the global Finance organization supporting Corporate Investment Banking business and regulators across all regions. Over the years, the teams have continued to provide value add to the global finance organization through business insights, technical accounting skills, data analytics, technological enhancements and standardization across lines of business. The key focus areas in the immediate future are driving teams to adapt the skills of the future, digital transformation and enhance product & regulatory reporting framework. About the Role The position is within the EMEA local Regulatory reporting team based in Bangalore. The group is a service-orientated business comprised of specialized individuals with knowledge and expertise in understanding, managing and delivering financial information to regulators. The group is also dedicated to adding value and improving efficiency, quality and controls. Core responsibilities:
    • Assist team in preparation of the firm s reporting requirement to the German Central Bank (JPMAG)
    • Ensure timely and structured recons are performed while displaying strong understanding of the control framework around recons and break resolution/investigation
    • Assist in the identification and completion of manual workarounds, where necessary, to ensure completeness and accuracy of outputs in the operating and processing model
    • Review monthly and quarterly variances, investigate tends and work effectively with the Germany team to obtain and document business commentary for management
    • Partner with the local Regulatory Project team on new releases and assist the AG team with review of trade flows for new business initiatives
    • Preparation and review of regulatory reports/submissions for JP Morgan entities as per US GAAP / IFRS requirements on monthly & Quarterly basis
    • IFRS adjustment analysis and mapping to FinRep templates & Statistical reporting
    • Support various lines of business & Legal entity controllers with performance reporting and other query resolution especially on regulatory reporting
    Desired Candidate Profile:
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Equivalent Finance Degree preferred but not a pre requisite
    • 2+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background
    • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
    • Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments with often little lead time or information
    • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
    • Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
    • Self-starter, able to prioritize key tasks & manage deliverables effectively
