Cloud ArchitectAs an infrastructure-based system and software engineer, you will be responsible for researching, architecting,and leading/participating in cross-organization initiatives/teams to develop and innovate new technologies andprocesses into HPE s as a service motions. The role is multi-disciplinary, requiring a robust system and softwaredevelopment background, working directly with team members worldwide, and communicating with HPE andHPE partner senior technologists and executives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience:Responsibilities:Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems design anddevelopment across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partnerrelationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans forintegration and update into architecture.Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelinesand standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisionsof executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of softwaresystems design and development innovation and excellence.Ideal Candidate Skills:Architecting, designing, and deploying large scale traditional and software-defined compute,storage, and networking solutions in both an on-premise and in the cloud.l KVM, KubeVirt, VMware, and Kubernetes in both small and large scale-out configurationsDeploying storage technologies at scale such as HPE Nimble, HPE 3PAR, HPE Primera, MapR,CEPH, Luster, etc.ll Aruba Networkingl HPE ServersKnowledge and Skills:l Experience designing and developing software systems design tools and languages.l Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.l Experience in the overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into the overallarchitecture.Evaluating and selecting forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology,including writing and execution of test plans, debugging and testing scripts and tools.l History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software design.l Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options atthe business unit and executive levels.l Working knowledge and practice in the Agile development framework is plusl DevOps experience is a plusImpact/Scope:l Collaborates with peers, junior engineers, technicians and external design partners.Typically interacts with high- level Individual Contributors, Managers, Directors, VPs and ProgramCore Teams.l Leads multiple and the most- complex projects requiring software systems development.l Drives design innovation and is tasked with key design initiatives.Education and Experience Required:l Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.l Typically 10 years experience.Hewlett Packard Enterprise Values:Partnership first: We believe in the power of collaboration - building long term relationships with our customers, our partners and each otherBias for action: We never sit still - we take advantage of every opportunityInnovators at heart: We are driven to innovate - creating both practical and breakthrough advancementsWhat do we offer Extensive social benefits, flexible working hours, a competitive salary and shared values, make Hewlett Packard Enterprise one of the world s most attractive employers.
