Position title Cloud Architect AWS Sr Manager

• Senior Manager - Cloud Solution Architect with expertise in Technical Consulting, Architecture build in AWS to join the leadership group of our EY- Digital, Cloud and Advanced Engineering Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your Technical responsibilities: (part of description)

• Should have expertise in architecture and delivery of large scale mission critical distributed applications in public cloud and private cloud/on prem setup. Should have managed large data center and cloud projects end-to-end from inception and requirement to operations/support.
• Should have experience managing large data center, private cloud or hybrid cloud cluster.
• Deep Experience in AWS cloud across IaaS and PaaS services including compute, storage, networking, containers, serverless, data, analytics, IoT, AI/ML, media, DevOps and AWS migration & modernization related services.
• Ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders.
• Strong experience (5+ years) in AWS, Kubernetes, Containers, Container Orchestration, Serverless, FaaS and PaaS.
• Experience of other cloud IaaS & PaaS providers like Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry etc would be beneficial.
• Strong experience in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and/or Unix and Windows Server operating systems.
• Should have experience of DevOps, Infrastructure automation, configuration management and orchestration tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet etc.
• Should have experience in physical servers / VMs / RDS / VDI / Active Directory / Firewall/ Remote workstation deployments etc.
• Should have good experience in services like Backup, HA/DR, Certificate Services, Auditing, Encryption etc.
• Experience of hybrid cloud and private cloud, cloud architecture and design patterns. Overall knowledge of OS, middleware, databases, NoSQL, ESB, Integration, APIs, Web services, REST.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and vendors.
• Experience of AWS Discovery, Assessment, Migration, Architecture and Cloud Native technologies and CNCF platform tools.
• Experience in Java or .NET
• Experience working in a consulting environment preferred.
• Team player, ability to be able to work with virtual teams
• Ability to work in a variety of client settings and platforms
• Certification on Public Cloud or Private Cloud

Your Management responsibilities:

• Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases
• Task allocation and performance evaluation of team members
• Project scheduling and resource management
• Planning, budgeting and reporting on projects
• Make presentations on project status, present weekly, monthly and annual reports to senior management
• Communicate with client teams and gather requirements, conduct regular team meetings and track project progress
• Interview candidates and hire resources
• Provide an efficient working atmosphere to project teams and ensure objectives are met within stipulated time
• A background of working with development best practices.
• A willingness to be flexible in responding to issues as they occur and the ability to identify product/deployment improvements to mitigate future occurrences.
• Self-motivated, Strong communication and team building skills.
• Work iteratively in a team with continuous collaboration.

• Any Cloud Experience (AWS/AZURE/GCP/PCF)
• Experience using Kafka will be plus
• Experience of working with NoSQl databases like Cassandra
• Experience of working with RDBMS databases like Postgres
• Experience in designing and developing Restful styled web services
• Experience in agile development methodologies like SCRUM
• Exposure to Business BFSI Industry
• Exposure to CI/CD Pipeline
• Experience working on CMMI / Agile / SAFE methodologies
