Job Description

This is a Cloud Security Engineer role, will be reporting to the Team Manager in Business Area RA located in ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL), Bangalore. You will be part of application operations team working in a fast-paced environment on designing solutions that improves maintainability, scalability and security.Your responsibilities

  • Working with scrum team for deploying, managing and maintaining the Azure based application using the pre-defined CI/CD process via Azure DevOps.
  • Performing security and vulnerability assessments and reviewing (threat models/ pen-tests) against hosted products and services.
  • Performing security monitoring, security event triage, and working with application operations and R&D Product Development teams for incident management and resolution.
  • Working with system engineers, developers and architects to improving and implementing security practices, technical documentation standards, patching guidelines, deployment procedures and configuration management.
  • Integrating security best practices into the software development life cycle process and the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Verifying the deliverables related to cloud security, from application operations service provider who is responsible for day to day operations.

Your background
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of experience in application or product security along with 2-4 years of experience within cloud security in Azure.
  • Knowledge and experience in cryptography, including encryption mechanisms, hashing, key management, digital certificates.
  • Hands on experience managing security in IaaS and Paas architectures, provisioning of resources securely in a cloud environment as well as hardening processes.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts including TCP/IP, HTTP and TLS, DoS, DDoS detection/prevention, and network and host anomaly detection through both automated (NIDS/HIDS) and manual means.
  • Advance knowledge and experience with ethical hacking, firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF, vulnerability scanners, etc.
  • Working knowledge of the OWASP top 10 security risks and remediation techniques.
  • Strong understanding and experience with .NET, Python, Java and PowerShell.
  • Experience leading incident response plans, working with SIEM tool for log analysis (i.e. Splunk, etc.).
  • Experience with operating systems and hardening (Linux and Windows).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH or CISM highly desired.
