Job Description

Cybersecurity Engineer (Cloud)The ideal candidate will have a passion for cybersecurity and designing solutions. The candidate must be a leader skilled at identifying security gaps in new and existing cloud infrastructure and processes, developing integration plans and projects, and execute initiatives to address them. This position is both a driver and team player. Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Provides architectural & engineering leadership to cloud infrastructure cybersecurity programs
  • Works closely with subject matter experts to develop and deliver a complete and integrated cloud infrastructure cybersecurity architecture across Iaas, PaaS, containers, and serverless
  • Continuously and proactively assesses corporate cloud resources for cybersecurity weaknesses, and prioritizes plans to strengthen
  • Stay abreast of world class defensive cybersecurity processes, tactics, and techniques and implement as necessary
  • Serve as a cloud cybersecurity technology expert and trusted partner of our information security and risk management teams
  • Designs, implements, and manages roadmaps for improvements to cloud security policy, system hardening, incident response, and emerging cybersecurity threats
  • Develop, monitor, and manage cybersecurity performance & hygiene metrics (KCI, KPI, KRI)
  • Integrates threat, vulnerability, IT, and business to prioritize incident handling and investigations
  • Identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders to ensure security configurations meet organizational requirements
  • Respond swiftly to emerging security threats and engineer security controls to mitigate them
  • Serve as an integral part of the Information security incident process
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of hands-on technical expertise in infrastructure cybersecurity, with demonstrated focus on cloud security
  • 3 years experience working in a global environment with progressively increasing responsibility in one or more IT cybersecurity domains: cloud infrastructure, vulnerability management, and virtualization (cloud or non-cloud)
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and security architectures across major hyperscalers
  • Experience with highly scalable cloud-based systems and services and the tools available to defend them
  • 2 years of experience leading technical project teams (with or without direct reports)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management & presentation skills
  • Expert knowledge of asset discovery, configuration hardening, security controls, vulnerability management, CSPM/CWP, and defense-in-depth and how to achieve it
  • Working knowledge of single sign on (SSO), access vs authentication, cryptographic operations, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST 800-53, secure web gateways, DAST, IDS/IPS, WAF, SD-WAN
Desired qualifications:
  • CISSP, CCSP, Cloud Security Alliance CCSK, or Azure Security Engineer Associate
