As a Senior Release Engineer, you can look forward to:Managing the technical software release workflows end-to-end through collaboration with technical architects & leads, product owners, infrastructure support, QA, and external teams.Identifying and facilitating efficiency improvements in the release process.Measuring and supervising progress to ensure releases are delivered on time withminimal service disruptions.Supervising the release schedule for all applications in conjunction with the maintenance of a release calendar.Handling risks and resolve issues related to release scope, schedule, and quality.Conducting release readiness reviews and milestone reviews.Maintaining a release repository containing key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.Representing the project team in weekly Change-Advisor Board (CAB) status meetings with information about release scope and/or impact.Advising software development and quality assurance (QA) teams on source control usage.Researching and work with other technical analysts and administrators to implement new configuration management methodologies, processes, and procedures.Learning and adapting to new technologies and programming tools.Selecting, adapting, and effectively use a variety of programming methods.Solving logical problems for highly technical applications.Recommending needed changes to software development practices and procedures.Displaying strong communication skills with both technical and non technical clients.Basic Qualifications for consideration:Bachelor s degree, preferably in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Release Manager working with technical teams developing software solutions.Preferred Qualifications for consideration:Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Gerrit, Phabricator or Puppet.Sophisticated knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality control practices.Experience and training with project management practices, frameworks, and methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall).Detailed knowledge of software development lifecycle, especially scrumExperience with environment management, release management, code versioning, deployment methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools.Experience with database design concepts and use of SQL.Experience with API and Web Services (REST/SOAP).Experience working with e-commerce, shopping cart, or payment service gateways.Exposure to POS Hardware and/or Software for Clover Station Pro, Mini, Flex or Go.,
