Job Description

CMS R&D - Java Development EngineerIt is gaining significant traction with CSP accounts in various areas that includes 5G offerings. The CMS 5G R&D is looking for experienced developers to work on our cutting edge, cloud native 5G offeringsResponsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing reliable, cost effective and high quality software.
  • Makes design choices and finalizes the design for new feature development.
  • Owns design, coding, unit/functional testing, integration and documentation activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
  • Contributes to test automation.
  • Collaborates and communicates with internal/external stakeholders to provide an insight into progress on various activities.
  • Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects. Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 6-8 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Should have 5 years of experience with Java and J2EE technologies.
  • Familiarity and ability to understand 3GPP standards for the implementation of 5G Network Functions.
  • Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes and Redhat OpenShift
  • Hands-on experience developing applications in micro services & Cloud native environment.
  • Analyzes/troubleshoot defects and then comes out with fix on time.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Good grasp of industry best practices in enterprise-class software development and agile methodology.
  • Hands on experience in implementing DevOps practices/tools.
  • Knowledge of HTTP2 and TLS
  • Hands on with Spring, REST, Cloud native technologies( Eg. Yaml, REDIS, ETCD, Fluentd, Graphana, Prometheus, Kafka etc)
  • Telecom/5G domain knowledge will be an added advantage.
