Communications Assistant | Location: Bengaluru - Amnesty International India Communications Assistant | Location: Bengaluru Communications Assistant | Location: Bengaluru This position primarily works with the larger team to support the communications team on content creation and coordination for Amnesty International India s digital platforms. As per the Industry Standards Amnesty International India s communications and brand strategy drives human rights change; broadens awareness of its programs and priorities, and works towards growing the movement thereby increasing the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences .This new position works with the Digital Campaign Strategist towards implementing the pre-decided Comms strategy and effectively share information to engage stakeholders in accordance to the organisation communication guidelines. You will be part of the team responsible for writing, editing, designing, effective and high-quality outputs on human rights using a variety of formats, including print, electronic, audio, video, website and other digital platforms. The objective of this team is to generate compelling high-quality communications and brand materials across platforms in a manner and language suitable and relevant to appropriate audiences. Job Responsibilities Familiar with content production for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter platforms preferably for Non profits Understands design ideas and has experience in story boarding/scripting Strong command over the English language Attention to details Updation of trackers and routine tasks would be a part of the job. Liaising with external vendors and support teams to implement any of the above activities and operations. Support the digital campaign strategist in generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action. Participate in crucial decisions like who, where, and when to disseminate in collaboration with the integrated comms group. Monitor impact of communications in achieving Amnesty India s agreed objectives. Any other tasks as assigned by the line manager. Skills and Requirements High energy, maturity, and a team player with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at an operational level. At least 1 year of relevant professional experience, which could include experience in media, advertising, public relations, communications, or other relevant fields. Self-starter, able to work independently, and enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives. Basic understanding of how communications can work in a campaigning organization to bring human rights change. Preferably proven experience in delivering engaging content on complex issues to tight deadlines. Should possess creative problem-solving skills, including a track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently. Ability to communicate clearly and courteously in English and preferably other recognised languages in India Ability to use initiative and to work calmly and efficiently under pressure; friendly and approachable, well organised. Core competencies Professionalism: Knowledge and/or experience in managing conduct and emotions in a way that represents the values and realizes the objectives of the organization Teamwork & Communication: Knowledge and/or experience in working with others and presenting information, ideas, and positions in a clear manner that can easily be understood across diverse and multicultural audiences. Core Skills & Experience Minimum experience of 1 to 3 years in communications, human rights or public relations with experience in designing in support of various social causes.
