The Compliance Risk Monitoring Team (CRMT) is a critical component of the overall Compliance Oversight Program ( COP ) at State Street. Performing Monitoring & Surveillance activities over areas of high Inherent Risk is essential to conclude on the adequacy of the COP internally, the regulatory posture of the business unit, and to identify enhancements for State Street s global compliance control environment. The CRMT Analyst, Senior Associate reports to a CRMT Manager, who is responsible for leading a team of global professionals in the design and execution of Monitoring & Surveillance activities developed to detect potential breaches of Regulatory Obligations, as well as to ascertain whether First Line of Defense controls in place to mitigate Compliance Risk continue to operate effectively.
In this role, the CRMT Analyst, Senior Associate will:
In concert with the Compliance Advisory teams, design Monitoring & Surveillance activities for areas deemed to be of higher focus within a particular Compliance Risk Execute the review of internal controls that support various regulatory requirements in addition to internal Firm requirements (Control Monitoring) Execute substantive outcome monitoring using analytical techniques to detect potential breaches of Regulatory Obligations (Surveillance Monitoring) Liaise with their CRMT colleagues all over the globe to share and complete deliverables
