Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team at PeopleStrong. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in HR or substantial experience in compliance management. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to payroll and non-payroll compliances at our client location in Bangalore.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Compliance
    • Manage and oversee Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) compliance.
    • Prepare PF reports, generate challans, and manage UAN generation/linking.
    • Handle KYC updates and date of exit updates.
    • Prepare and submit ESI reports and assist in ESI IP generation and challan generation.
    • Compile location-wise and state-wise PT reports and assist with PT payments.
    • Prepare LWF reports, facilitate online/offline LWF payments, and manage annual returns.
    • Prepare cover letters and respond to notices/inspections/assessments regarding payroll compliance.
    • Liaise with government authorities on compliance issues and manage queries related to PF transfers, withdrawals, settlements, and claims.
    • Conduct payroll compliance audits and prepare meeting minutes with clients.
    • Prepare presentations for compliance-related matters.
    Non-Payroll Compliance
    • Manage registrations, amendments, and closures under Shops & Establishments and Trade License across PAN India.
    • Prepare statutory registers for various compliance acts, including Payment of Wages, Bonus, Maternity, and CLRA.
    • File annual and quarterly returns under various Shops & Establishment acts.
    • Conduct audits as per non-payroll compliance requirements.
    • Coordinate with the finance team for statutory payouts.
    • Prepare forms and related statutory workings for non-payroll compliance.
    Technical Skills
    • Proficient in Excel with knowledge of formulas such as VLOOKUP, TRUE/FALSE, COUNTIF, etc.
    • Ability to collate documents for various payroll and non-payroll registrations.
    Qualifications
    • Graduate degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience in compliance management.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
