ColdFusion is one of the easiest programming environments to use, and enables you to create powerful server-side web and mobile applications very quickly, with much less code than other technologies such as ASP, PHP etc. It also includes a full-fledged API Management Platform to help in the development and deployment of APIs. The ColdFusion team in Adobe, Bangalore is seeking a Software developer with 3 to 7 years of development experience in server side technologies to help with the certification of the cutting-edge features that make ColdFusion what it is today - an enterprise hub. We are looking for a developer with below responsibilities and requirements.Responsibilities:- You will be working on production issues faced by customers- Ensuring the resiliency, scalability and performance of the system- You will lead a small to medium feature from conception to delivery: - Engage with customers and product management teams (co-located in Bangalore) to understand the need and design an innovative solution. - Elaborating the feature scope through competition analysis, research on recent technologies and trends to deliver the best-in-class and often next-in-class solutions and iteratively work with customers to finesse the solution. - Writing use cases, resource estimation and planning. - Designing the feature - Coding and stabilization of the feature.- Handling non-functional requirements like performance, memory leaks, memory errors, not just at the feature level but, analyses its impact at the solution level as well. - Participate in the evolution of standard methodologies.- Display thought leadership through presentations in various aspects of computer science.You should be a leader excelling in communication, ownership and customer focus. The ability to deliver solid code that has a broad business impact and the ability to create software that achieves its operational goals.Requirements:- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field- 5 years of experience in development using various Web technologies. This position specifically targets the server side technologies and frameworksKnowledge of client side technologies, will be a big plus.- Experience with building RESTful and SOAP Services/APIs (Jax-rs, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar framework).- Display a good understanding of web services and related standards like REST/JSON.- Working knowledge of current trends and server side frameworks.- Write solid, optimized, code in Java and J2EE that follows the standard methodologies.- Has experience with working on huge codebases and comfortable writing and debugging multi-threaded & asynchronous code.- Understanding of OO concepts.- Good computer science fundamentals & deep data structures knowledge.- Good problem solving skills.- Good verbal and written communication skills.- Knowledge of working and debugging with IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ.- Passionate about solving interesting problems for customers ready to explore new grounds in technology and user experience. - Display a readiness to walk unchartered territory with a deep sense of curiosity, appetite for risk and perseverance to solve problems.Good to have skills:- Knowledge on AWS or any other cloud platform.- Experience and understanding of a wide range of client-side technologies including reactjs, HTML5, JSON, etc.,
