Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products and sophisticated technology systems in depth. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/ annual financial accounts closing for multiple entities as per local and USGAAP requirements and disclosures
  • Provide variance analysis for such FS
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS (preferred)
  • Manage quarterly Balance sheet substantiation and SOX process
  • Support intercompany balances, reconciliations, payments etc
  • Coordinate year end audits
  • Responsible for cash management, payments and quarterly capital planning process
  • Assist in ad hoc requests for financial information of entities assigned
  • Review/prepare tax calculations including corporate income tax and Goods and Services Tax
  • Liaise with other internal departments within the firm (e.g. tax, legal, treasury, deal teams, middle office) globally in the course of his/ her work
SKILL / EXPERIENCE
  • CA/ CPA qualification with strong accounting knowledge
  • Basic excel and MS office skills essential
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Candidate must be team oriented and proactive
