Job Description

Providing Financial Planning and Controlling expertise to the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performanceAs a Controlling and planning Analyst will be a part of the Hitachi ABB Power Grids Business will be based in Bengaluru, India. The Hitachi ABB Power Grids business delivers products, systems, service, and software solutions as part of its comprehensive power automation offering for the grid across the power value chain - serving utility, industry, transportation, and infrastructure customers.Reporting to the HAPG CoE Team lead, and also you will support and work closely with the Country Finance Director/ Manager and be responsible to provide reliable and timely analysis of the company s actual financial results, budget and forecasts in order to support management and other stakeholders at various organization levels in decision making processes.

Your responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Business Information:
  • Establish and oversee processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensure high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
  • Analysis and Decision Support:
  • Perform the analysis of the company s financial results in own area of responsibility and coordinates the preparation of the various management reports, including performance reports for the Board, Executive Committee and Country management, commentaries on financial statements, etc., on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Supports evaluation of the impact of strategic, financial or other major investment decisions.
  • Financial Planning:
  • Drive and facilitate financial planning processes and activities. Support implementation of standardized processes and tools to support the financial planning activities in own area of responsibility.
  • Management Reporting:
  • Provide input for external financial reporting, including management discussion and analysis.
  • Work with the business units to follow up on the inconsistencies noted on management reporting information.
  • Improvement Initiatives:
  • Contribute to controlling initiatives for the company. Lead process improvement and cost saving initiative to protect and increase profitability.
  • Support initiative to achieve excellence in financial controlling and improvement of controlling processes and tools.
  • Training and knowledge Sharing:
  • Facilitate knowledge and best practice sharing within the Finance community. Organize and deliver training on various controlling tools and processes in responsibility.
  • Statutory, Audit and Compliance support
  • Related Party Transaction (PO, SO and MIPS) end to end process,
  • Liaising with the external auditors for quarterly and year end closing
  • Supported Board Meeting related presentations
  • Follow up with diff controllers for RPT Requirement to fix the audit requirements
  • Addressing audit query of various functions / department
  • Understand and address the Internal audit and external audit query.
Your background
  • CA with 5-6 years of experience in MNC
  • Audit background
  • Corporate Controlling (Techo functional Role)
  • Have a technical (SAP FICO) experience , SAP PRD
  • Supported Board Meeting related presentations, Preparation of financials (Added advantage)
  • Good Knowledge in Power BI, BIW / Business Warehouse
  • Good knowledge in Power Point Presentations and MS Excel (Advanced version) with Macros (added advantage)
  • Excellent communication skills
