PRIMARY ROLE: Total Experience - 4 to 8 Yrs The Convergent Charging SME/Architect will be responsible to support the BSS project delivery & operations of the Telecom Operator for their Convergent Charging systems and other related BSS systems. The role consists of providing support & guidance in developing, enhancing, deploying and maintaining the Convergent Charging systems & support systems. Candidate must achieve the best of possible results in managing various task allocation for the project; which will in-turn enable the Service Provider to reduce the TTM by implementing the next-gen technologies. RESPONSIBILITIES: Requirement gathering & analysis: Gather customer requirements and specifications for existing/new projects and translate those needs into effective solutions in order to meet customer expectations. Maintain the business requirements in project scope and internal consistency of system. Design the solution and architecture designs such that it utilizes the OOTB system functionalities to avoid customization. System Integration, Deployment: To do installation & deployments of system and products from remote/onsite. Testing: Should be able to generate the test scenarios and execute the scenarios to avoid any defects. Should be able to write scripts for testing, bug fixing etc. Support: Should be able to support various project phases such as Migration, Cut-over, development, testing support etc. Need to be ready for working across functions as and when required according to project phase. Should be ready to travel onsite if required. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Understanding of the telecom BSS domain and modules such as Online & Offline Charging, PCRF, Billing, Mediation and notification gateways. Experience of handling Convergent Charging solutions for multiple products/ technology such as Mobile, POTS, DSL, Broadband, VPN, Managed WAN for different customer segments (Recommended) Hands-on experience in Migration, deployment, testing, support & operations experience of Convergent Charging solutions with one or more telco. Hands-on experience with charging systems from leading vendors such as Nokia, Oracle, Comverse (Amdocs), Huawei etc. Experience on Nokia SPS will be preferred. Hands-on experience in integration of OCS with GGSN,MSC,DRA, PCRF,SMSC etc. over protocols such as CAP, Diameter ( Gy,Gx,Sy etc) Experience in integration with API in SOAP and/or REST. Ability to actively cooperate with cross-functional teams within organization, 3 rd party vendors, Telco customer etc. Hands-on experience with tools such as SOAPUI, Wireshark, Seagull and DB tools etc. Exposure to industry models TM Forum, SID, industry standard Product Data Models will be added advantage. Excellent communication and presentation skills.,
