As we work through the hiring process, we thought it may be helpful to provide you more detail on what the role entails and what you can expect during the interview process.The position you are applying for is: Corporate Counsel, India- GSP. This is a mid-level/senior, individual contributor position within our department. We are looking for self-starters with strong legal fundamentals in the 4-8 year Post Qualification Experience range.The role:As an overview, this role is to support our India & SAARC theatre within the Global Service Provider (or SP) line of business (one of the fastest growing sales theatres within Cisco). You will be a part of the Asia Pacific & Japan SP legal team and partner closely with our Managing Director for India & SAARC SP Sales. You will also be a member of the India SP Sales leadership team. SP is one Cisco s largest lines of business working primarily with Cisco s telecom customers and is responsible for approximately 35-40% of its $50Bn annual revenue globally. India-SP accounts for approximately $3-400M revenue annually, which is approximately 30-35% of Cisco s India revenues.Our lawyers are business leaders who build strong and empathetic advisory relationships with sales teams and other functions/ organizations within the company. We expect them to act as positive influencers in the growth of our business. The work-profile of this role is expected to be:
    • 70% commercial advisory (contract negotiations, deal structuring);
    • 15% litigation and dispute management;
    • 10% governmental, regulatory affairs (help guide development of regulatory norms); and
    • 5% general, non-commercial advisory (compliance, training, policy development).
