CPX - Software DeveloperWhat Youll DoCisco s CX Application Engineering team is looking for a Software developer to work on CX Cloud application platform comprising a set of Cloud native applications for Cisco Customers and Partners.You will be part of high performing team working as a unit to rapidly develop set of cloud native functionalities using true agile methodologies. You will build these functionalities focused on enhancing the user experience for our customers with Cisco products. You will make technology choices and put them into practice. You will be an active learner and work with your team to deliver innovative secure software solutions for our customers. Individuality in a team environment reflects the culture you will need to support. You will look to apply lean startup principles to validate the growth and value potential in all that we do. You will be helping our customers protect whats important from cyber threats.As a Software developer, you will need to have a comprehensive understanding of software development life cycle and best practices, especially in the area of developing cloud native software. Day to day activities include development, unit testing, configuring, deploying, testing, and debugging software in, local, and cloud based environments such as AWS. In particular, there is an expectation of working within container based environments that include technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. You would be expected to contribute in the following ways: Be the responsible individual for writing code and conducting code reviews, quality checking, unit testing, fixing security vulnerabilities as well as deployment and testing. This includes a deep analysis of software features and understanding the testing needs of the feature. You will need a technical oriented perspective, and must also see the requirements as needed by the customer.Anticipate and consider that you may play a role in one, if not multiple stages of development life cycle, support and assist the team with any necessary setup and debugging in any of the non-production and production environments.Be willing to participate in the software development work flow and take on and commit any needed code changes or code reviews within the project that assists in the maintainability, debugging, or automation of any functionality.Assist in the software development process and workflow as it pertains to the use of source code management. You love writing code to improve efficiency and quality.Required Skills & Experience6+ years of experience in software testing and development Experience with Java, Springboot, AWS technologies including: Route53, CloudFront, API Gateway, Aurora RDS, ElasticCache, EKS, ECS, S3, AWS SDK Experience in DevOps, deployment automation technologies like Jenkins, Circle CI Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL technologies like MongoDB, Postgres, Must have experience in containerization and Kubernetes Must have good knowledge of micro services Should have basic unix skills, strong written and verbal communication skillsNice to Have Knowledge of development using Python with flask framework AWS certification,
