Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Design the overall curriculum structure for our game-based learning platform
  • Determine the competencies that are required to master each element of the curriculum
  • Work closely with development team to develop ideas and concepts for games for each competency
  • Create the curriculum for each game
  • Test each game once it has been created to make sure that it meets desired curricular standards
  • Create instructions to help children play each game
  • Contribute to recruiting new talent, as per the organisationrsquos needs
Minimum qualifications:
  • Passionate about working for a social cause and making a huge difference to the lives of underprivileged kids in developing countries
  • Either 3 years of experience developing English or Maths curriculum for early childhood education OR 3 years of experience teaching English or Maths to children in kindergarten or grades 1 - 3 OR a combination of 3 years of curriculum development and teaching experience
  • Masterrsquos degree in English, Education, Communication, Psychology, Maths or a related field
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
  • A scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude and drive that gets high-quality projects done quickly
  • English proficiency - spoken and written
Additional preferred qualifications:
  • Experience building computer-based learning programs for young children
  • Experience creating assessments to evaluate learning outcomes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the latest academic research and best practices on early childhood education
  • Experience working with a distributed team
