Job Description

The Scrum Master is the Process Champion. Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that Scrum is understood and enacted. Scrum Master is the servant-leader for the Scrum Team. He completes any tasks required to remove impediments for the team and provide coaching and leadership support that make Scrum development possible. Manage the overall coordination, status reporting, schedules and stability of project-oriented work efforts, ensures that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope and resource requirementsJob Description Strongly serving and supporting the Product Owner and Development Team to adhere to the time-boxing and quality requirement Help in preparing the overall planning of the project. Ability to create project specific roadmap in alignment with Organization culture and need which will also adhere to Agile Framework. Make the winning strategy according as per the ground conditions Identify project risks and raise them proactively Understanding of Agile tools and technologies Make sure that team is following agile processes in each sprint at user story level as per the Definition of Done (DoD) Facilitate to help remove impediments to the team s effectiveness Facilitate the team s group interactions, to help the team achieve its full potential Ensure scrum ceremonies are followed right from kick-off phase to ensure timely release of deliverables Make sure the Action points identified during Sprint Retrospective Meeting are implemented Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example. This person should personify Scrum and Agile. Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization Should be able to facilitate multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.) Assisting with internal and external communication Promote visibility and transparency, particularly by keeping information radiators up to date Able to tracks metrices like Burn Down Chart, Burn Up Chart, Team Velocity etc Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining (aka grooming) and managing the product backlog. Provide training to the team on the agile process; training will continue all the time during the project execution and continuous improvement on velocity, quality, processes etc. Act as Mentor. Focusing on people and Continuous Improvement all the time Create a safe environment for healthy conflict and meaningful collaboration. Identify process issues and improve them Help product owner to write user stories The ability to distinguish between what is Scrum what is not Scrum Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. Experience in DevOps methodologies like Continuous Integration/Delivery will be a plus Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated TestingTechnical and work Experience1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other related field2. Requires 7-10 years of relevant work experience with 2-5 years as Scrum Master 3. First level Scrum Master Certification (PSM I, CSM) is mandatory4. SAFe Agilist Certification or SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master or SAFe Program Consultant will be plus5. Second or third level Scrum Master Certification (PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC) will be good to have6.
