Job Description

The role of Banking Technology Lead requires the ability to develop strong partnerships; business insight and technical acumen whilst managing and inspiring a global team. You and your team will work on engineering modernization of Investment Banking deal workflow and deal management applications, and will partner with Banking and Technology teams to develop and deliver key technology initiatives throughout the deal lifecycle. In addition, close partnership with vendors and dealers will enable the formulation of multi-year strategies ranging from inter-bank initiatives, business and technology disruptors and internal development where efficiency; data insight and market advantage are the priority. Technology alignment with industry practices around Microservices, CI/CD pipeline, Devops is critical to achieving accelerated development and delivery. Technical acumen and vision will ensure the Business aspirations and Market challenges can be channelled into future proofed best-in-class platforms based on service-based architecture, Development methodologies and continually evolving Best Practices in Development; Testing and Cyber. The technology team is globally distributed and consists primarily of software engineers supported by business analysts. You will coach, develop, resource and motivate your team appropriately, ensuring the teams have the resources and technology needed to be successful delivering business results, career growth and a great culture embedding JPMorgan s How We Do Business principles. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Banking tech team to deliver on business and technology priorities Build effective partnerships with business partners across the TS, CB, and GIB lines of business. Build effective partnerships with critical technology, operations and business management teams Manage relationships with key vendors, whilst working closely with Capital Markets strategy and Digital IB teams on longer term vision Deliver high quality software, adopting the Software Delivery Lifecycle tools, following Architecture patterns and Agile best practicesJob Qualifications Great communication skills at all levels of seniority in a high-pressure environment Leadership qualities to build a high performing team with a great culture Partnership building up and downstream and with all other associated partners, internal and external Teamwork Experience Required Minimum 10 years of Software Engineering Minimum 5 years managing a technology teamOur Corporate & Investment Bank relies on innovators like you to build and maintain the technology that helps us safely service the world s important corporations, governments and institutions.
