The team supports using big data tools and industry best practices, the generation of insights, on the Bank s performance to drive strategic decision making and support the communication of the Bank s performance to external stakeholders.The role provides an opportunity to interact directly with a range of senior management within Standard Chartered, develop a strong understanding of the Bank and its markets and to directly influence how the Bank is perceived by key external stakeholders such as investors and ratings agencies.Roles and Responsibilities:This is a critical role in the build team, which will design the architecture and analytics that will be usedacross the function.Collect, review and analyse financial and non-financial data information from multiple sources and updatereports/databases in an accurate and timely mannerDevelopment of an ingestion data framework on NoSQL and SAP PaMP ETL tools for batch and real-timedata collation, quality control and processing on the P2P analytical data platformSupport through the ingestion of data infrastructure using various programming languages, techniques, andtools.Support the processing of complex JSON data structures in processing pipes and working with otherspecialist data engineers on the end to end data processDeliver creative ideas to continuously improve the team s analytical insight and influence on decision-makingQualifications & Skills:Minimum 4 years of relevant experience and NoSQL / Hadoop work experience for minimum of 2-3 yearsA degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering,Information Technology or other related technical disciplines.Experience in handling large data sets (multiple TBs) and working with structured, unstructured andgeographical datasetsDesigned high-performance scalable infrastructure stacks for Big Data AnalyticsDeep understanding of databases and best engineering practices - include handling and logging errors,monitoring the system, building human-fault-tolerant pipelines, understanding how to scale up, addressingcontinuous integration, knowledge of database administration, maintaining data cleaning and ensuring adeterministic pipelineA real passion for data, new data technologies, and discovering new and exciting solutions to the company sdata needsExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with colleagues from differenttime zones and cultures to communicate with the data engineers to coordinate the development of datapipelines, and or any new framework featuresWork experience developing data wrangling processes using tools, SQL, R and PythonExcellent communication Proven strategic and analytical skills with a strong appetite for finding facts andoffering solutionsA good working knowledge of SAP data analytics tools, Hadoop / Big Data architectures, DataIku, Dremio /Apache Arrow, and SAP PaPM would be considered positivelyApply now to join the Bank for those with big career ambitions.,
