Data Analyst - AML Independent Validation

Role Overview:You will be an Anti Money Laundering (AML) Independent Validation (IV) analyst (C10) in the Citi Analytics & Information Management team based in Bangalore. Your main responsibility will be to conduct Independent Validation on AML Scenario validation, perform complex statistical analysis, create data visualizations, and process data based on globally consistent standards and regulatory guidelines. It is essential for you to execute your tasks with a high level of integrity, quality, and attention to detail, and present your findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.Key Responsibilities:- Perform Independent Validation of AML Scenarios, KPI reports, AML Cards Scenarios, etc., following the AML Global Methodology and compliance with Governance policy and OCC requirements- Apply statistical methods to organize, analyze, and interpret data for validations- Present reports and recommendations to sponsors and stakeholders regarding validation outcomes- Provide data pulls and reports directly from Oracle Database and EAP, write efficient SQL and PL / SQL queries, and monitor query execution- Support the team by implementing automation tools, evaluate validation assumptions, data completeness, limitations, and more- Prepare detailed validation reports, use visualization techniques for clear presentations, conduct annual validation performance assessments, and ensure data quality and reliability- Conduct above the Line testing to identify potential issues with thresholds in transaction monitoringQualifications:- 3 to 5 years of experience in the Analytics Industry- Previous experience with Financial Services companies and knowledge of Mantas and AML monitoring systems- Good working knowledge of SAS, SQL, Hive, Python, PySpark, Impala, Excel & VBA- Basic knowledge of Big Data / Hadoop architecture, Segmentation, Clustering, and statistical techniques- Experience in reporting analysis results, presenting findings, and communicating with technical support- Strong Statistics and Data Analytics academic background with knowledge of quantitative methods- Ability to work well with others, show a team-player attitude, and provide input into innovative approaches- Self-motivated with a desire for self-development and learning, able to manage conflicting time demands- Masters in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Operational Research, Business Administration, Economics(Note: The above Job Description is based on the provided information and may not include all details from the original job description.)
