Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise experience with GCP Big Data products including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, Dataprep, Data Studio, Bigtable, Cloud Storage, and more.
  • Understand different types of storage (filesystem, relational, NoSQL) and working with various kinds of data (structured, unstructured, metrics, log files, etc.)
  • Experience with data pipelines (ETL, ELT) and data wrangling procedures using Python and SQL.
  • Tune application and query performance using performance profiling tools and SQL
  • Experience with microservice patterns, API development, RESTful web services, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with batch and stream processing (including Amazon Kinesis).
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau is a plus.
  • Familiarity with agile software development practices and drive to ship quickly.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend technical approaches to solve difficult and challenging development and integration problems.
  • Work with analysts across the organization to fully define business problems
  • Help improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve business analytics accuracy, viability and value.
  • Communication across several enterprise organizations and different end-user groups.
  • Test, deploy and maintain data integrations, ETL processes, APIs and analytics solutions within our environment consisting of Google Bigquery, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Salesforce, ERP, Hybris Platforms
  • Providing analysis to managers on improvement opportunities for the business process by answering Why and What if questions
  • Build advanced analytics solutions leveraging predictive modeling, machine learning, simulation, optimization and other techniques to deliver insights or develop analytical solutions to achieve business challenges.
  • Provide support for on-going analytical performance reports that drive operational decision-making and provide ad-hoc or special reports as dictated by business needs
  • Research on new products, services, and features.
  • Develops algorithms and supporting code such that research efforts are based on the highest quality data.
  • Translates complex analytical and technical concepts to non-technical employees to enable understanding and drive informed business decisions.
  • Experience with and knowledge of SAP ecosystem or similar ERP ecosystems.
  • Understanding with ticket management tools like ServiceNow or Jira
  • Experience with code version control and collaboration platforms like Bitbucket, GitHub
  • Knowledge of reporting and visualization with tools such as Tableau & Business Objects
  • Knowledge or experience in ETL process architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Ability to manage multiple, conflicting, high priority requests
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with real-life datasets, and be able to abstract mathematical models from real-life problems
  • Knowledge with Google cloud storage /data products and services.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, R, or other scripting languages with experience in delivering production-ready code
  • Experience in SQL development
  • Ability to prioritize and manage projects to completion without guidance
  • Translates data and information into clear, professional reports and analyses that offer an insightful interpretation
  • Understanding on AI/ML development projects and technical architecture specifically is a plus
  • Technical certifications such as Google Cloud Data Engineer or advanced certifications in data science a plus.
