Job Description

Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.About the teamPED team is a shared services team that serves the product teams for Dashboard/SMB Ecom, Sales & Boarding and OMNI/Worldpay Total. The team serves to deliver infrastructure requirements in terms of Design, engineering and complete end to end integration of the applications and its deployment (CI/CD) lifecycle. The engineering part of the team provides various Cloud, DevOps, Environment management to the product dev & test teams. They also provide various skills on on-boarding new applications to the CI/CD pipelines and automation/config management where necessary. Note: This new team in India will be made up of cloud engineers, application/database engineers, hosting engineers and a hands on technical lead looking after a group of engineers working on delivering hosting platforms in hybrid environment (cloud and on-prem infrastructure) for various projects.What you will be doing

  • Look after database & messaging services such as Cassandra, Kafka, etc.
  • Maintaining application data on premises and cloud, using RDS and/or NoSQL.
  • Maintaining existing and building new clusters, troubleshooting issues, maintaining performance, adding storage, upgrades & backup.
  • Look after on prem and Cloud Dev/SIT environments, automation/scripting, resolving issues with environments/applications, building further capacity.
  • Working with Development teams to help and support but also enabling them to be self sufficient
What you bring:
  • Have knowledge of working in a Hybrid Environment Cloud and On-Prem with desired knowledge of distributed systems
  • Self Starter/Motivated/Good communication skills
  • Project/Delivery Based Mindset
  • Micro-servicing microservice, gateways, service meshes, service discovery
  • Cloud AWS, Azure OCP/Kubernetes needs to be experienced in backed - (Certification Desirable but not a must)
  • Knowledge of working with lower infrastructure teams
  • Knowledge of Working in a SAFe Agile Environment & Processes
