Job Description

*Competencies:

Accuracy in Typing
Understanding of medical terminologies

Job Responsibilities:

DEO posted on a rotation in all services
Reporting to duty in time
To type the Reports
To ensure that there are no typographical errors
To type the Discharge Summary written by the doctor on the Discharge summary sheet whenever necessary
To inform the concerned Doctor after typing the report
To maintain patient reports correctly
If IP patients, to ensure compliance to all policies and procedures
To maintain the list of critical tests in the register
To maintain critical results data on the excel sheet
Assisting the radiologist by taking direct dictations during ultrasound scan
Priorities in typing of reports like emergency vs non-emergency, child vs adult, AHC vs non-AHC etc.
Extending duty hours whenever required
Assisting the radiologist by being present with the patient (for eg. female DEOs staying with the female patient during ultrasound scan if the radiologist is a male doctor)
Maintaining proper decorum in the department
