Job Description

Dear Candidate,Greetings for the day!We are hiring for Data Governance Stewardship Manager Number of Vacancies- 7Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The Data Governance Steward has to be passionate about data. Should be an expert on organizational information and governing enterprise data assets. He/she has overall accountability for organizations overall data and reporting process by responsibly managing data assets, data lineage, business glossary and data access for clients. His/her responsibilities will include;
  • Defining data governance team charter, policies, methodologies, guidelines and responsibilities for administering organization data for regulatory compliance and/or business growth
  • Work with business, technology and process work streams to govern the data identification, data definition, data propagation and data traceability across the systems/functions
  • Responsible for defining standards and best practices for data analysis, modeling and queries
  • Responsible for understanding end-to-end data flows/data lineage and identifying data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management
  • Should provide leadership on the data quality improvement initiatives by leading combined teams of technical, business and quality analysts to ensure data accuracy, uniqueness and completeness
  • Should participate, influence and sign off on data requirements and design of data governance related programs/initiatives
  • Should have understanding of business domain, data definitions, technical & operational metadata and able to document and maintain data dictionary, data quality definitions and usage at the concept and data element level.
  • Guide and support requirements and testing of data quality initiatives, masking strategies, test cases
  • Should have experience of working with global & industry governance frameworks & maturity models such as DAMA, DCAM, CMMi or similar
  • Identify new opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in the marketplace (Data as the end product) / represent data as a strategic business asset and provide support to Data Evangelist/Innovation officer
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience with more than 4 years as Data Governance Stewardship role
  • PMP/Scrum Master certification required with Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science/IT or similar discipline
  • Expert knowledge of Financial services industry domain and related products is preferred
  • Proficient knowledge on Data Governance tools and technologies including program/project management, change management, data quality, metadata management, data security, access and data lineage.
  • Sound knowledge on data governance strategy, best practices, operating models & charter
  • Experience on working on large data migration or data privacy related programs with a multi-territory or multi-lines of business transformational client
  • Experience with working with various stakeholders across the organization, internal and external stakeholders including vendors and sub-contractors
  • Focused approach to problem solving which must include flexibility while maintaining keeping focus on priorities defined by overall impact
  • Effective communication, stakeholder management and inter-personal skills
  • Should have exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking and multi-client environment and meet deadlines while delivering high quality results
