  • This is a role within Group Performance to Plan data team based in Bangalore. The team supports using big data tools and industry best practices, the generation of insights, on the Bank s performance to drive strategic decision making and support the communication of the Bank s performance to external stakeholders.
  • The role suits an individual able to conceptualise, problem solve and think laterally to manage dynamic and unique issues. Creativity and the ability to communicate clearly are essential skills for the role.
Roles and Responsibilities:This role is focused on the essential day-to-day data management tasks such as data importing, data cleansing, and data enrichment so that the information becomes useful for analysis.A key focus of this role is determining which data is crucial and transforming it into useful information with the support of other specialist data engineers and data scientistsA vital element of this role is driving continuous improvement via the recommendation and implementation of industry best practices and new innovative methods ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and qualityProactively analyses and evaluates the business s databases to identify and recommend improvements and optimizationPerforms ad-hoc analyses of data stored in the data platform and writes query scripts, stored procedures, functions, and views to support troubleshoots and presents solutions to data issuesSupport the protection of information via data security methodologies and tools in addition to continuous monitoring of user access patternsQualifications & Skills:Minimum 4 years of relevant experience and NoSQL database administration / data processing work experience for minimum of 2-3 yearsA degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or other related technical disciplines.Work experience on developing database model, meta data catalogues and data profilingWork experience developing data wrangling processes using tools, SQL, R and PythonUnderstanding of machine learning modelling with a focus on prediction and anomaly detectionWork experience on business intelligence performance engineeringWork experience on implementation of database driven data securityProven strategic and analytical skills with a strong appetite for finding facts and offering solutionsStrong experience in SQL queries and deconstructing / tuning query performanceExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with colleagues from different time zones and cultures to communicate with the data engineers to coordinate the development of data pipelines, and or any new framework featuresA good working knowledge of SAP data analytics tools, Hadoop / Big Data architectures, DataIku, Dremio / Apache Arrow, and SAP PaPM would be considered positivelyApply now to join the Bank for those with big career ambitions.,
