We need someone who is ready to influence and drive change across Engineering, Product Management, and Content teams, enabling us to build a comprehensive set of data model documentation, training, videos, and walkthroughs across Salesforce Industries.Required Skills/Experience

  • You re a seasoned Program Manager with technical expertise who s excited about building a content strategy to shape, build, and execute a data model content solution for our Salesforce Industries customers
  • You re a strategic thinker who can provide direction and steer a cross-functional team of data modelers, product managers, and content teams to build and deliver use-case focused data model content so customers can learn how to customize their existing data models quickly and effectively
  • You think outside the box and can move us towards an effective and scalable process by collaborating with product managers, engineers, data modelers, and content teams
    • Influence product managers to define use cases that will help users perform specific jobs using the data model.
    • Collaborate with product managers and content owners to ensure that the data model content includes relevant real world examples, enabling users to customize the data model
    • Help build a content strategy to deliver data model content to customers through mediums such as videos and live action interviews with product managers.
    • Launch a data model content program for Salesforce Industries that is effective and can be rolled out to other departments at Salesforce
    • Measure success of the program by collecting customer feedback proactively
  • You can drive process alignment across multiple teams within Salesforce Industries to build a scalable model and drive the project forward that other business units can use as a model
    • Establish standards and best practices for data model content delivery across Salesforce Industries
  • You re a customer advocate who can drive change and influence Engineering to provide field and object descriptions, enabling content creators to deliver a more comprehensive set of data model documentation
  • You re laser focused on creating detailed project plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, identifying risks early, and providing mitigation plans for data model content
  • You communicate early and often with key stakeholders and motivate cross-functional teams to provide project updates and ensure that the project stays on track
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You re composed and have no qualms making critical decisions under pressure
  • You have excellent time management and negotiation skills
  • You re well versed working with globally distributed teams
  • 5 or more years of experience in Technical Program Management
  • Well versed in industry-specific software development processes and how underlying data models support customization
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology or related field
Preferred Skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience creating technical documentation and/or training materials for developers and designers
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce Platform
  • Experience developing a content strategy, including the ability to choose the most appropriate medium for the task at hand
  • Experience with documentation structures, such as DITA
  • Experience with graphical tools, such as Lucid Charts
  • PMP certification
