Job Description

The purpose of the role is to assist organisations in data protection through data protection regulations and trends, ensuring a regulatory compliant flow of data as per the business need.

  • Execution & implementation of organization DP program
  • GDPR/CCPA & other countries DP law implementation
  • Advise functions on DP requirements like applicability, retention, deletion, security controls etc.
  • Work with business teams (customer facing) and other functional support groups within Wipro management to ensure awareness of best practices on privacy and data protection matters. Deploy tools and methodologies to support the privacy program.
  • Work with internal legal team/ other functional groups such as HR, Immigration , Travel & Hospitality, Marketing, Facilities, Global security, IRMC, IS etc. to design , deploy and maintain appropriate privacy and confidentiality consent, authorization forms and information notices and materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements
  • Develop privacy training materials and other communications to increase employee understanding of company privacy policies, data handling practices and procedures and other privacy (legal) obligations
  • Conduct periodic information privacy impact assessments and ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the organization s other compliance and operational assessment functions
  • Review all system-related information security plans to ensure alignment between security and privacy practices.
  • Mitigate effects of a use or disclosure of personal information by employees or business partners as encountered during privacy incidents or breaches Develop and apply corrective action procedures.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Data privacy
  • Post graduation / Graduation (BTech/BE/MCA/ MBA/Degree in Law or Finance)
  • Mandatory Privacy certification, perferably IAPP
  • Privacy Certifications CIPP(US/Europe) , CIPM.CIPT and/ or DCPP, DCPLA , CISSP,CISM,etc. is desirable
  • Exposure to financial/banking, healthcare, retail, and insurance sector
  • Knowledge of Data Privacy GDPR & other global regulations
  • Knowledge of Data/Information Security ISMS27k/PCIDSS
  • Risk/Compliance/Audit background
