Data Quality Analyst 26/09/19 Experience Experience 2 years experience grounded in ETL/Data integration with a good working knowledge Qualifications Qualifications Degree calibre in appropriate subject and or formal data modelling qualifications (Optional) The key purpose of this role is to support the Data Quality Lead in implementing an effective Data Governance Framework and drive a culture of data quality first . The role entail .
Responsibilities
Facilitate Data Governance meetings including preparation of meetings materials and recording minutes.
Build effective relationships with key stakeholders within the bank
Identifying root causes of data quality issues; develop recommendations for addressing data quality issues and ensuring the data quality issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Triage and research data quality issues found by business users and/or through the Data Quality dashboard.
Design, create, implement, test and administer data correction solutions on current data quality issues in line with the above recommendations.
Fully document data cleansing and data correction jobs in line with documentation guidelines.
Provide support in the definition of business and data quality indicator rules to ensure good data governance and quality is embedded in the business by using the data governance framework.
Implementation and administration of data monitoring jobs which monitor measure and report on the data quality issues and notify the associated business area as necessary when issues are found through the delivery of a Data Quality Dashboard.
Embed effective data governance encompassing data management and data polices and contribute towards effective data governance in relation to data quality, business process management and risk management surrounding the handling of data with the Data % Analytics team.
For all solutions ensure the management of and adherence to data security and DPA/GDPR regulations are complied with.
Ensure all work is registered and priorities with sufficient communication of expected timescale to all stakeholders.
To build a good understanding of different business areas and develop good relationships with all teams within OSB.
Qualification
Degree calibre in appropriate subject and or formal data modelling qualifications (Optional)
Experience Details
2 years experience grounded in ETL/Data integration with a good working knowledge (SQL Server SSIS, SAS)
Proven experience of triaging data quality issues and providing insight and solutions in relation to these issues
Ability to deliver and maintain a Data Quality Dashboard
Ability to communicate to all levels of stakeholder is essential, with a proven track record of the communication of complex data management issues to non business intelligence stakeholders
Knowledge Requirements
Good knowledge of regulatory data governance requirements is essential
A good understanding of data quality analysis, standards and reporting is essential
Enhanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analysis, understand and explain complex requirements is essential
