Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience., At Oracle CEGBU (Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit), we are chartered to building the next generation Data Analytics and Insights platform using Big-Data and Machine Learning Techniques from underlying Data-Lakes. We are looking for a passionate Data-Science Architect to help design, build, manage and maintain the large-scale Predictive and Prescriptive solutions that are expected to provide meaningful business insights for the GBU. We are looking for a mixture of a statistician, scientist, machine-learning expert and engineer: someone who has the passion for building and improving Internet-scale products informed by data. The ideal candidate understands human behavior and knows what to look for in the data, and can work closely with the engineering and product management teams to solve complex problems with unique data, analysis, algorithms, and insights, and is expected to build and lead a team around these competencies. We are looking for the following Key skills and Educational Qualifications & Industry experience levels:Technical Skills:1.5 - 7 years of software development and Machine Learning/Modelling experience2.Have full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, production-isation, and monitoring of data science products3.Proficient in small data modeling work: Python, R, Julia, Octave4.Proficient in big data modeling work: Hadoop, Pig, Scala, Spark5.Can fish for data: SQL, Pandas, Oracle6.Deploy data science solutions: Java, Python, C++7.Familiarity with various ML libraries like TF, Keras, PyTorch, OpenCV Team Leadership Skills:1.Excellent communication and collaboration skills2.Proven track-record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results3.Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills4.Fast learning who is generous with sharing knowledge5.Self-directed, demonstrates leadership potential, and a great teammateDetailed Description and Job Requirements:1. Leads a team of people who design, develop and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse big data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.2. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources experimenting, identifying and employing the right Models and ML Techniques.3. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.4. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.Education & Industry Experience:1. Ph.D. or M.S. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics2.Around 12-15 years of professional industry experience, leading with a focus on delivering Enterprise grade products to Consumers3.Extensive experience with and commitment to:a.agile software development methodologies and principles of software developmentb.Hands on technologist with deep and broad technical capability (Java, Python, AWS; hardware experience is a plus).4.Proven expertise architecting and developing for AWS.5.Expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling6.Experience in Ad:tech or Mar:tech space is a plus7.Passion to answer Product/Engineering questions with data8. Strong ability to code in various languages, use big data platforms, extract and analyze data.
