The primary user for this department is Operations.This requirement of a strong DB2 Application DBA/developer is for a critical application in Operations Technology called Libra and WM-Margin. Libra is a real time book keeping functionality that consumes trades/journals from various upstream Post Trade systems and maintains the Positions and Balances along with the Journals in a DB2 UDB Database.WM Margin traditionally has been holding the data in DB2 z/OS and we are working to migrate that data from z/OS to UDB.Role Profile:We are looking for an experienced DB2 Application DBA who has worked in a critical application with large sized DB2 Database(>5TB). The role requires the candidate understand the landscape of the application and the data including its topology across the Online Data store and the Data Warehousing counter parts. The challenges we strive to solve include scalability/performance related to dealing with very large data sets and multiple data sources.We are a global team with members in New York, Montreal and Bangalore. The role involves collaborating with global team members and provides a unique opportunity to network with a diverse group of people.The candidate who fills this role of a DB2 Application DBA in our team will be involved in building and creating solutions from the requirements stage through deployment. A successful candidate is self-motivated, innovative, thinks outside the box, has excellent communication skills and is able to work with clients and stakeholders from both the business and technology with ease., *Required Skills:

• Strong in DB2 UDB Database Maintenance and Administration
• Expertise in Linux Shell Scripting
• Solid experience with PERL
• Review/Analyze the access path of SQLs written by other application developers and fine tune the queries for performance and scalability.
• Good knowledge of Autosys or any such scheduling tool
• Detail oriented, ability to turn deliverables around quickly with high degree of accuracy
• Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents
• Good time management skills ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at once
• Strong desire to understand and learn domain.

• Experience in Green Plum
• Experience with Informatica
• Experience in a financial services/banking industry

Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in computer science, equivalent field, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in Maintaining and/or administering Large scale DB2 UDB database.
