Job Description

Rail domain, Bogie, Car body, Interior Skill Tools Knowledge Required: Primary - Catia V5 , With PLM exposure, Exposure to Microsoft office, German language B2 fluency (Optional)

Required Skills

  1. Extensive design experience in at least two of the following subjects: Bogie design, Coach structure design, Seating system, Coach undercarriage, door systems, air conditioning systems, Railway Interiors
  2. Strong mechanical engineering basics. Should have worked on New Product development, Product Enhancement, concept development, Detailed design, DFMA, Release and validation activities
  3. Apply exposure to the manufacturing process to create and validate manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
  4. Good Knowledge on strength of materials, Hand calculation & FEA basics is an added advantage.
  5. Ability to define Functional Dimensioning requirements (operation, aesthetics, assembly, disassembly).
  6. Exposure to various manufacturing processes.
  7. Able to perform a basic calculation on all type of mechanical assemblies & analyze results.
  8. Ability to analyze manufacturing non - conformity and to validate a backup solution.
  9. Have understanding for product costs on a technical solution
  10. Hands - on experience on Catia (Mandatory) CAD tools (optional Creo, Catia, Solidworks) and PDMPLM platform to create and validate 3D and 2D
  11. Good knowledge on Rail standards (EN and US )
  12. Good knowledge on Welding in European and American standards
  13. Good Knowledge on different types of materials used in Railway industry
  14. Application of GD&T to create better designproducts
  15. Exposure to design of non metallic parts like plastic, FRP and GRP parts is an added advantage
