Job Description

    Job Title: Design & Engineering Operations Manager Location: Dubai Department: Design & Engineering Reporting to: Directors Job Summary: The Design & Engineering Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the engineering department, overseeing multifaceted engineering projects from sales to execution in the transformer manufacturing industry. This senior role is critical in ensuring seamless operations and high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities:Project Management:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and closure of multiple engineering projects.
    • Enforce quality control measures throughout project lifecycles to maintain high standards.
    Resource Allocation:
    • Assess personnel and material needs for diverse projects.
    • Allocate resources judiciously to maximize efficiency and achieve project objectives.
    Scheduling:
    • Construct detailed project timelines, outlining each phase and milestone.
    • Regularly monitor project progress to ensure strict adherence to schedules.
    Conflict Resolution:
    • Mediate and resolve conflicts among team members to maintain a cohesive work environment.
    • Implement conflict prevention strategies.
    Technical Oversight:
    • Rigorously review and approve all electrical and electromechanical designs.
    • Confirm all designs adhere to both industry and internal standards.
    Sales Support:
    • Partner with sales teams to formulate accurate and competitive quotations
    • Provide technical insight and advice to assist in closing sales deals.
    Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Closely track key performance indicators to gauge project success.
    • Regularly update stakeholders through detailed project status reports.
    Compliance:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and ensure all practices are compliant.
    • Update internal processes to align with industry best practices.
    Team Development:
    • Identify skill gaps within the team and arrange for targeted training.
    • Act as a mentor to junior staff, aiding in their career development.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 20 years in engineering, with at least 10 years in a managerial capacity.
    • Ideal candidate should be approximately 45 years old to reflect a seasoned level of experience and maturity.
    • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
    • Extensive experience in transformer manufacturing is essential.
