One of our teams key priorities is to ensure that Intels Internet of Things platforms deliver a fantastic developer experience (DX). We are building out our India DX team and looking for a DX Manager to play a leadership role in guiding and nurturing the development of the team while also shaping, leading and supporting DX planning and execution across several inter-related product efforts. The DX Manager will have experience and passion for cultivating the growth and development of teams and individuals across a number of different vectors including skill/toolset development, problem solving, collaboration, leadership, communication, learning and fostering an inclusive work environment. The desire and aptitude to listen, learn, adapt and support the team as a whole and as individuals will be key to success. The DX Manager role includes partnering with global peer UX practitioners and cross-disciplinary product teams to execute our overall approach to research, design, content development, prototyping and experience assessment for our SW, HW, tools and/or developer kits. Strong organizational skills, exceptional communication, deep user experience expertise, teamwork and interpersonal skills are an essential part of this role. Embracing diverse points of view, collaborating to work through ambiguity and challenges, and flexibility in approaching problem solving and solutions is critical. The bulk of our DX resources and leadership currently reside in the USA, but we are growing in multiple countries in order to embed this critical capability with our engineering partners globally and to ensure we are able to effectively understand and deliver compelling products for our customers and developers world-wide. Candidates should have experience leading and/or conducting all facets of UX/DX research, architecture and design - including field research/user testing, persona development, usage definition, task flow analysis, structured interviews, UX/DX architecture, product content, design, technical writing and iterative UX assessment. In this role, you will work on an ambitious, geographically distributed, cross-disciplinary team, putting your technical know-how to work to creatively solve challenging problems that are critical to Intels success. You should have a can do spirit and a willingness to consider different technical and business approaches to complex problems in a dynamic environment. Experience with current software development tools, design systems, processes, and practices at all levels of a solution stack would be extremely valuable. Job responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: People management, coaching, mentoring and fostering the development of a vibrant, diverse, inclusive, learning and growth minded team that is well connected locally and globally with peer and partner teams. Coordinating team development and activity oversight with a global set of peer DX capability managers (content strategy and design, research, technical writing) and senior DX Architects who are responsible for leading DX work on/across various products. Developing DX plans and activities, and coordinating their integration with multi-disciplinary planning and product teams. Designing, executing, and analyzing results of qualitative and quantitative user studies centered on assessing Intel HW/SW and focusing on both attitudinal and behavioral aspects of the developer experience. Working with teams across Intel to implement changes (both functional and non-functional requirements) that will positively impact DX both near term and longer term strategies. Leading and managing vendor engagements that support various UX/DX deliverables, including research studies, interaction and visual design, content development, and technical writing. Positioning and communicating project plans, activities, results and impact with planning, product and customer/partner teams - executive level through technical implementation and go-to-market teams.
