Job Description

    As a Development & Experimental Engineer, you will play a leading role in verification and validation of new and existing gas turbine engine products. We require highly capable engineers who can make a strong contribution to development of our Aero Gas Turbine products through the world-class capabilities in Systems Engineering, Design Verification/Validation and Programme Management. This exciting role will deliver a wide range of high technology packages of work to demonstrate that validated requirements are met across the product, sub-system and product systems. This role has potential exposure to various phases of product lifecycle including development and in-service operations to ensure that evidence of compliance is delivered through robust verification in timely and a cost-effective manner. This role will ensure successful deliveries to the key milestones such as Flying Test Bed, Engine Certification, First Flight/Flight Compliance and Entry in Service. This role will also deliver support to in-service operations through tasks such as major in-service issues resolutions and post-certification design modifications. Define and manage requirements: Responsible to define and validate requirements while maintaining the traceability through deployment of structured verification. Define verification strategy: Responsible to ensure validation of and product compliance with specification, including safety, certification, customer and maturity requirements through definition and execution of complex validation and verification strategies. Produce and manage verification programme: Produce an optimum verification plan to address requirements of the verification strategy. Execute verification tasks: Lead cross-functional execution of physical and analytical verification activities. Support for instrumentation, hardware, test and event investigations to meet requirements of the verification programme. Produce verification evidence: Integrate teams across all engineering disciplines to deliver compliance evidence including reports. Analyse and interpret information and data from various sources including tests and analyses for effective engineering assessments. Be a point of contact in assigned technical area and share subject matter knowledge across the function. Actively promote, spread, and support continuous improvements, in and outside of the immediate sphere and across the global team. In-depth knowledge of Aerospace Industry quality processes, tools and technical reviews/approvals experience relevant to the role with an understanding of the Airworthiness Certification requirements from EASA and/or FAA for gas turbine engines. Experience of the systems engineering, structured verification, design of experiments (DoE) and assembly/testing of gas turbine and/or equivalent systems will be an advantage. IBM Rational DOORS administration, upgrades rolls-out and DXL scripting experience along with RPE and SharePoint skills.,
